Pavúk – wine restaurant is a well-known perennial star on the Slovak gastronomic scene. Many awards show its popularity and quality. This restaurant in Modra got the latest award at Gurman Awards 2016 – 3rd place in category Thematic restaurant. This family restaurant focuses on quality cuisine and wines and is located in wine vineyard town Modra. It is a popular stop for domestic and foreign guests.
Guests make mainly telephone reservations. Only a small percentage of guests book a table by means of online reservation widget on the restaurant’s website. When accepting reservations staff has to keep in mind a complicated restaurant floor plan (interior and exterior). They also spend a lot of time with table management (assigning guests to tables according to their number). Waiters focus on the personal approach to customers. The restaurant needed to have a clearer overview of the reservations. It lacked an effective system that would be able to automatically assign reservation to a table and prevent conflicts (i.e. two reservations assigned to only one table). The restaurant wanted to enable the customers to book a table online, too.
